Bayer AG, Germany's largest drug maker, said it has received 7,800 legal complaints regarding the withdrawn cholesterol drug Baycol, up from 7,400 the company said it had last month. Bayer has settled 420 complaints, spokeswoman Annette Josten said.

The Germany-based company pulled Baycol, also sold as Lipobay, after it was linked to more than 100 deaths. Chicago lawyer Kenneth Moll has filed a class-action suit on behalf of Baycol patients worldwide.
